While working on a Nikole Hannah-Jones piece I came across something that made me want to add a follow-up note to my previous article on Fukuyama.

Five days after I published an argument that America’s culture of surveillance and emergent social credit system were undermining a process essential to liberal democracy, public debate, the Hill published an article summarizing a new study reinforcing this point.[i]
